MAKE UP FOR EVER STUDENT PROFILE
No previous formal make up application experience or education is required for participation in the program at the MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy; however, students should exhibit a strong connection to the art of make up and have an interest in the professional make up artist career. The following are ideal characteristics of a MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy student:
Artistically inspired with a strong creative intuition
Self motivated and driven to succeed
Experienced or interested in the beauty industry, including fields such as cosmetology, esthetics, hairstyling, cosmetic retail or other related industries
Background in fine arts, painting, drawing, sculpting, photography and or other related fields
Strong interest in make up and experience in application.
APPLYING
Contact the Academy administration by emailing us at academy@makeupforeverusa.com or calling (212)377-3600 to obtain all application forms. A short, one-page essay must be submitted with your application. A registration fee in the amount of $100 must be paid for the application to be processed and an interview to be scheduled. At the interview, a portfolio of 8 or more pieces of art must be presented. Applicants are notified of acceptance or rejection within two business weeks from the interview. Once accepted, a student must submit a $500 deposit towards the session he or she wishes to enroll in.
Career development is incorporated into the program, but no guaranteed job placement is offered.
The academy is not accredited and cannot accept federal grants, scholarships or loans as tuition payment.
Students obtain certificates of completion upon completion of any program offered at the academy.
All classes are taught in English.
